West Bromwich Albion need to act quickly to add to their squad.
With less than two weeks to go until the transfer window closes, West Bromwich Albion supporters will doubtless be delighted that Jonny Evans is still at the club despite intense speculation about his future.
However, the club’s fans may feel rather concerned that there haven’t yet been any new arrivals at The Hawthorns this month despite the desperate need for signings.
Evans has been heavily linked with a move away from West Brom, with Manchester City interested in signing the centre-back, as reported by Manchester Evening News.
There is still a possibility that Evans could depart this month but keeping him would certainly be a major boost for West Brom in their quest to stay up.
However, perhaps of greater importance is West Brom’s need for reinforcements, with Alan Pardew’s side sorely lacking much attacking quality.
As reported by the Daily Mail, Pardew admitted that West Brom were interested in signing Theo Walcott from Arsenal, only for the winger to go to Everton instead.
Pardew, though, must act quickly as he looks to improve the quality of his squad.
Although they secured a rare win against Brighton & Hove Albion last time out, West Brom are in 19th place in the Premier League and have much work to do in order to avoid relegation, with their transfer activity this month set to be hugely important in determining their fate.
