Jordan Henderson has taken to Instagram to react after Joel Matip hit him on the head while Liverpool celebrated their first goal last night.

What’s the story?

Well, after Roberto Firmino scored the opener against Inter Milan, Matip was seen slapping his £20m teammate on the head.

Henderson didn’t appear to take it that well, as he gave the 30-year-old a dirty look before shouting something at him just before the camera cut to another shot.

You can see footage of the 76th minute moment below.

Now, Henderson has sent Matip a message on Instagram, jokingly warning him to keep his “big hands” away from his head.

You can see the England international’s message below.

We’re glad that Henderson now sees the funny side of it, as he didn’t look too happy at all when the incident occurred.

With Thiago and Harvey Elliott now fit, many people – including us – have argued that Henderson doesn’t make Jürgen Klopp’s best XI anymore.

The German seemingly agreed with that, as he lined up with a midfield trio of Fabinho, Thiago and Elliott at the San Siro.

However, with Inter Milan bossing the game, Klopp threw Henderson on in the 60th minute, and he played a huge role in turning things around.

The ex-Sunderland man was sharp and keen to get involved, completing 44 passes including four successful long-range switches.

To put that into context, Thiago – who played 85 minutes – only completed 35 passes, as WhoScored shows.

Henderson led by example, and showed Klopp exactly why he should think twice before dropping him again.
