Glasgow Rangers currently have three players in their ranks who are set to see their permanent contracts expire this summer.

With thoughts at Ibrox already turning towards a massive summer for Rangers, the club’s hierarchy will perhaps be beginning to consider which players whose contracts expire this summer they want to keep hold of.
The Gers currently have three members of their squad set to leave in the summer unless a new deal is agreed, so should any of the trio be handed fresh terms? Here is a closer look at whether those players deserve an extension…
Philippe Senderos
Of the three, the decision surrounding Philippe Senderos’ future is perhaps the easiest for the Gers hierarchy. The defender has struggled since arriving at Ibrox and has only made four appearances for the Light Blues. The next manager may have other ideas, but it currently seems unlikely that he will be retained.
Verdict: Release
Rangers’ Kenny Miller
Kenny Miller
Kenny Miller may be well into the twilight of his career, but he continues to upstage a number of his teammates with his performances. The 37-year-old is the club’s top goalscorer in the Scottish Premiership with six strikes to his name, and his presence would surely help during this ongoing period of transition that is set to carry on when Mark Warburton’s successor is appointed.
Verdict: Keep
Clint Hill
If Rangers had a cluster of promising centre-backs to choose from, or if they are likely to recruit several in the summer, then it would perhaps make sense to suggest that Clint Hill should either be released or given more of a backroom role at Ibrox. However, Hill has arguably been the Gers’ most reliable centre-back this term, and, like Miller, his presence could be important in the next year or so, even if he plays less often.
Verdict: Keep
Clint Hill
