Queens Park Rangers have a handful of players whose permanent contracts expire this summer.
QPR manager Ian Holloway
With the summer fast approaching, Queens Park Rangers boss Ian Holloway will be starting to consider which players he will want to keep for next season and which he is ready to let go.
With that in mind, here is a look at three QPR players whose permanent contracts this summer (via transfermarkt), as well as our verdict on whether they should be handed fresh terms at Loftus Road…
Karl Henry
It seems incredibly unlikely that Karl Henry will be a QPR next season given his falling out with manager Ian Holloway (via Get West London). The 34-year-old has not played since December, and it seems that the defeat to Wolves that month will prove to be his last appearance for the club.
Verdict: Release
QPR’s Karl Henry
Reece Grego-Cox
According to transfermarkt, Reece Grego-Cox’s deal expires this summer. While he has not played for the Hoops this season, he is a bright prospect, and with the days of QPR spending vast amounts on marquee names now long gone, it would seem that his chance may come fairly soon.
Verdict: Keep
Jamie Mackie
Ian Holloway has confirmed recently that he wants Jamie Mackie to stay for another year (via Get West London), so it would not be a surprise if he does get a new deal. He has not been particularly influential since his return to the club, but his experience could be helpful amongst the younger players within the squad.
Verdict: Keep
QPR winger Jamie Mackie
