Alasdair Gold has suggested on Youtube that both Erik Lamela and Lucas Moura could be potential candidates to leave Tottenham Hotspur and join Jose Mourinho at Roma.
Mourinho’s appointment at Roma has seen Tottenham fans taking predictions about which players could follow their former boss to Italy.
Lamela’s name is one which has been floated by Spurs fans as a possibility to move to the Italian capital, as HITC have covered.
And Gold has hinted that he feels Tottenham may well be open to accepting offers on both Lamela and Lucas.
“I wonder whether he looks at the likes of Lamela and Lucas,” Gold said.
“Lamela has the Roma connection, he was adored there, and I think of the price was right Spurs would probably go for it as well, purely because of the injury history and he’s coming towards the last 12 months of his contract.
“Whether Lamela would want him I don’t know. I think he likes Lucas a lot though. And if Spurs could get good money for Lucas, I think that would fund some other moves.

“I know Lucas has a lot of fans, but I do wonder if he’s one of those forwards they could get some money for which would help fund other areas, like getting another centre-back. Keep an eye on that.”
Lamela and Lucas were two of Tottenham’s most trusted players under Mourinho.
The 58-year-old boss started Lucas almost whenever he was available, and even accommodated him centrally ahead of the likes of Dele Alli for much of this season.
Lamela, meanwhile, was regularly used off the bench by Mourinho – often at the expense of Gareth Bale.
If either were to be made available by Spurs this summer it would not be the greatest surprise if Mourinho did launch a bid.
Lamela and Lucas have been used far less regularly since Mourinho’s departure, with Ryan Mason clearly preferring other options.
