Michael Keane is ready for the new season at Everton and is excited to work under Marco Silva after a glowing report from his brother.
Silva was the Hull City manager in 2017 after replacing Mike Phelan, and he spent four months in charge in a failed Premier League survival bid.
During that time, Silva worked with Will Keane – Toffees defender Michael’s twin brother – who has spoken warmly about the tactician, and now Michael is excited to begin the Silva era.

Speaking to the official Everton website, he said: “It is really good to be back. I had a good break but after about three weeks you really miss coming in every day and being around the lads.
“I have heard excellent things about the new manager from people I have spoken to and I am looking forward to working with him.
“My brother said really positive things about him and I spoke to Harry Maguire who really enjoyed playing under him. Speaking to them made me even more excited to come back in and start training.”
There is a huge sense of optimism at Goodison Park now following the underwhelming 2017/18 campaign and the Sam Allardyce reign.
Keane will likely play a big part for the Toffees, with Phil Jagielka and Ashley Williams both ageing. That said, it is likely Everton will bring in another centre-half to partner Keane before the transfer window slams shut next month.
They are also after new full-backs, with Marvin Plattenhardt, Wendell and Kieran Tierney all having been linked in recent weeks.
