Wilfried Zaha scored the winner at the beginning of the second-half. Although Boro were pressing to draw level, Crystal Palace managed to hold on and secured a crucial three points.

One of the stand out performances for Palace was Benteke, who joined the club in the summer from Liverpool for a club record fee of £27 million. Zaha was also one of Palace’s best players on the day. The winger looked like a real threat throughout the game. Boro will be thankful that the scoreline wasn’t more.
