Ronald Koeman will be looking to put Tuesday’s EFL cup defeat to Norwich behind him and continue the Blues’ unbeaten start to the Premier League against Bournemouth.

Facing Bournemouth won’t be easy for Everton. Eddie Howe will be under pressure to pick up points having taken just four out of a possible fifteen.

So which team is Koeman likely to select to challenge Bournemouth?

Well it would be no surprise at all if Koeman decides to stick with the winning side who beat Middlesbrough 3-1 last weekend.

Maarten Stekelenburg would start in goal with Leighton Baines, Ashley Williams, Phil Jagielka and Seamus Coleman at the back.

Gareth Barry and Everton’s bargain buy Idrissa Gueye will hold the midfield together, while the Dutchman will stick to pace at the front with an attacking midfield of Ross Barkley, Kevin Mirallas and Yannick Bolasie.

Romelu Lukaku should be fit in time to play Saturday after missing Norwich due to a toe injury.

Koeman would have been hoping to face a selection dilemma this weekend, but the reality is after a dismal defeat to Norwich, the Blues starting Xl is an easy one to pick.

The Dutchman made six changes against Norwich, The Blues fringe players failed to give Koeman a reason to select them to face Bournemouth. Enner Valencia, Aaron Lennon and Tom Cleverley added nothing to the game.

After resting Baines, Jagielka and Barry – the trio coming back into the side could help the Toffees continue their unbeaten run.
