Manchester City easily thrashed Bournemouth 4-0 yesterday.
Manchester City continued their perfect start to the campaign with eight wins out of eight in all competitions.
An easy victory against Bournemouth saw goals from Kevin de Bruyne, Kelechi Iheanacho, Raheem Sterling and Ilkay Gundogan seal the win.
De Bruyne put City in front with a low free kick, goals followed by Iheanacho, Sterling and Gundogan and City yet again dominated the game and deserved the victory.
However, City had Nolitio sent off for an attempted headbutt against Adam Smith in the 86th minute. That said, the sending off was too late in the game to affect City.
Sterling showed just how good of a player he is; his pace was a constant threat to Bournemouth. Belgium midfielder De Bruyne has had a sensational start to City’s season, again being one of the stand-out players. The 25-year-old caused the Cherries problems throughout the game.
A tough day for Bournemouth, then, who were completely outclassed by the league leaders. Early signs of City’s performances under Pep Guardiola already look similar to Barcelona.
Guardiola will be hoping to continue his 100% winning record when City face two away meetings with Swansea City this week, in the EFL cup and Premier League.
