West Ham United’s Karren Brady is not a big fan of Manchester United’s star man.

Hammers vice-chairman Karren Brady shared her belief that Marcus Rashford’s development as a footballer has been hindered by Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s integration into the United first-team this season, when writing her regular column for the Sun.
The 35-year-old Swede sustained a career threatening injury in mid-week, and will obviously not play any further part in the Red Devils’ campaign.
The former Barcelona, PSG and Inter Milan hitman’s absence will now surely mean an extended run for the 19-year-old Rashford – something that Brady believes he is totally deserving of.
The West Ham vice-chairman wrote her regular column for the Sun, and offered her take on the striker situation at Old Trafford:
Manchester United’s Marcus Ashford in action
“Zlatan Ibrahimovic was an inspirational signing for Man United if you count his goals. And yet there has been another price to pay besides his stratospheric wages. It is to be seen today in the mobile line-leadership of Marcus Ashford in the Chelsea win — at 19, no less than 16 years younger than the self-loving, static Swede. Ever since the Ibrahimovic signing, Rashford has only showed in rare flashes the player he promised to be. Maybe now Ibra is out long-term Rash will get his chance.”
Brady’s argument, whilst understandable, seems to lack substance, because without Ibrahimovic it would not be an unrealistic scenario for United to be floundering in mid-table.
The 6ft 5in striker has scored 28 goals in 46 outings for Jose Mourinho’s men this season, and irrelevant of how good Rashford’s potential is, and the kind of player he can become, filling Zlatan’s boots will be a near impossible task.
