West Ham United vice-chairman Karren Brady has discussed Sunderland owner Ellis Short and manager David Moyes in her column for The Sun.
The Hammers host Sunderland in the Premier League this afternoon, and whilst West Ham will be desperate to grab just a third league win of the season, Sunderland are in a much more perilous position.

Sunderland have earned a reputation for narrowly avoiding relegation to the Championship on a yearly basis, with Paolo Di Canio, Gus Poyet, Dick Advocaat and Sam Allardyce all keeping the club up over the last four seasons.
Now though, Sunderland really do face an uphill battle to stay in the Premier League. The Black Cats have notched just two points from their first games, and remain without a win under David Moyes.

The Scot needs results quickly if he is to keep Sunderland in the Premier League, and today he takes his side to East London to take on West Ham, whose manager Slaven Bilic is also under pressure.
Ahead of this afternoon’s game, West Ham vice-chairman Karren Brady has spoken to The Sun about Moyes and Sunderland owner Ellis Short, who was desperate to appoint Moyes.
The American told the Sunderland official website after Moyes’ appointment in August that he has wanted to land Moyes for many years – and Brady suggests that Short will be wondering whether Moyes really is the right man for the job at the Stadium of Light should they lose today.

“A well-known former owner of my acquaintance once said on appointing a foreign boss that no one had heard of: “He is the manager I have always wanted.” Ellis Short said something similar on making David Moyes his seventh Sunderland manager in seven years,” said Brady.
“At West Ham, Short will already be wondering what he will do if his winless team face another survival scramble…and if Moyes is the man to do it,” she added.
