West Ham United vice-chairman Karren Brady has praised Everton winger Yannick Bolasie in her football diary in The Sun.
Bolasie made a grand gesture towards his former club Hillingdon Borough last week.
Non-league side Hillingdon Borough were set to pull out of the Spartan South Midlands Division One with immediate effect last Tuesday due to a lack of support, but the intervention of Bolasie saw them take to the pitch for the game against Baldock Town at the weekend.
West Ham vice-chairman Brady has praised Bolasie, who joined Everton from Premier League rivals Crystal Palace in the summer of 2016.
“Everton winger Yannick Bolasie gets out his wallet to help ex-club Hillingdon Borough — and their match against Baldock Town is back on,” Brady wrote in her football diary in The Sun. “How many £5million-a-year academy products would do such a thing?”
It was quite a nice gesture from Bolasie to help out one of his former clubs, and it is great of Brady to acknowledge him.
The Everton winger is on the sidelines at the moment with a knee problem. The DR Congo international scored one goal and created 20 chances in1 3 Premier League appearances this season before he got injured.
Everton are seventh in the Premier League table at the moment with 36 points from 22 matches.
