West Ham United vice-chairman Karren Brady has praised Everton manager Sam Allardyce in The Sun.
Brady has praised Allardyce, now in charge of Merseyside outfit Everton, for keeping teams in the Premier League.
The Englishman was the manager of West Ham from 2011 until 2015 and established the London club in the Premier League.
The 63-year-old also kept Sunderland in the Premier League in 2015-16 and Crystal Palace the following season.
Brady wrote in The Sun: “At West Ham, we turned once to Sam Allardyce and he did exactly what we asked of him — promotion and from then on, as Theresa May would put it, ‘steady and stable’ progress.
“No electorate could ask for more. Crystal Palace and now Everton have applied to him for similar escape artistry.
“Allardyce is the perfect example of the man offered a leaky boat to cross an ocean who then lands on Treasure Island.”
Everton were also in danger of getting relegated just a few weeks ago, but recent results have been very encouraging.
Given the quality of players that the Toffees have, it is hard to see the Merseyside outfit go down to the Championship at the end of the season.
Allardyce did a great job at Bolton Wanderers, who played some wonderful football until him, and perhaps the Englishman could repeat his heroics at Everton.
Everton will return to action on Sunday afternoon when they take on Liverpool away from home at Anfield in the Merseyside derby.
