West Ham United’s Dimitri Payet has been linked with a January move.
West Ham United vice-chairman Karren Brady says there is no chance the club will accept a bid for star player Dimitri Payet during the upcoming January transfer window, The Sun report.
Payet’s stock rose immensely following a superb debut campaign with the Hammers last term and a solid showing for host nation France at the European Championships last summer.
Many spoke about the likes of Real Madrid or Barcelona coming in for the playmaker, yet Payet stayed with West Ham as the club look to match his ambitions of qualifying for Europe this season.

However, after a poor start to the season, some feel Payet could regret not seeking a big-move in the summer and recent reports suggest he hasn’t ruled out a transfer in January (The Sun).
Brady, though, has written in her weekly Sun column that the midfielder was misquoted before adding that there is no chance the club will accept any sort of bid for him in the January transfer window.
“I guess this “he’s too good for you” feeling was also aimed at our own Dimitri Payet, who reportedly said he had not ruled out a January move. He actually said “I do not ask myself” about a move,” Brady said.
“And for good reason. He knows that to move there has to be an offer, it then has to be accepted (no chance), and third, he has a five-year deal.”

Payet only signed a new bumper deal with the Hammers last February, extending his contract until 2021.
The France international is without doubt a top earner at the East London club, and at 29 he still has a number of years at the top level ahead of him with West Ham eager to push on.
The Hammers haven’t enjoyed the best of starts to the current Premier League campaign, but with key players returning from injury it’s only a matter of time before they click into gear.
