West Ham vice chairman Karren Brady makes an observation regarding Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge and Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane.

West Ham vice chairman Karren Brady has praised Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge in her latest column for The Sun.
Brady notes that entertainment is being given priority over industry in modern football, and that is why so many people like to watch Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
Labelling Klopp’s team as “full of swashbucklers”, Brady has made an interesting comment on Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge.
The West Ham vice chairman, who earlier praised Harry Kane in the same article, claims that Sturridge is perhaps the only English striker “with Kane’s talent”.

“Entertainment was again rewarded ahead of industry. Clean sheets are loved by coaches, football educators and teams who can’t score,” wrote Brady for The Sun.
“I guess that’s why so many people like to watch Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool — they are full of swashbucklers.
“Even Daniel Sturridge, perhaps the only English striker with Kane’s talent, is seen far more often in one of those comfy seats that have replaced the old-style bench than on the field.”
Kane is playing at a different level than any other English strikers at the moment. He has scored consistently for the last three seasons, and seems to have taken his overall game to a new height this season under Mauricio Pochettino.

He is receiving high praise, and rightly so, from players, managers, and football pundits and many (the percentage is high) think that he has reached the world class level.
Sturridge, who scored eight goals in 25 appearances for England, is going through a tough phase in his career.
He was always seen as a special talent, but apart from the 2013-14 season, where he scored 21 goals in 29 games, has he really done enough to justify his potential?
The last few seasons has been a nightmare for him as he remained injured for most of the part. Sturridge is a natural finisher, and when on song, he is a brilliant player to watch, but sadly his career is going downhill.
