West Ham United vice-chairman Karren Brady has revealed in her football diary in The Sun a chance meeting she recently had with Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy.

Brady has stated that she congratulated Levy on Tottenham’s success so far this season during the meeting.

Spurs are just four points behind London rivals Chelsea in the Premier League at the moment and have also progressed to the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

West Ham vice-chairman Brady has also made an observation about the companion Levy had for his breakfast, suggesting that the Tottenham chairman is doing his football business for next season already.

“Breakfast at The Arts Club looks like a Premier League meeting,” Brady wrote in her football diary in The Sun. “The chairman of Chelsea, Spurs, the Premier League, and me are all present. But it’s not for some clandestine meeting, it’s purely a coincidence.

“I get a kiss hello from them all, including the chairman of Spurs who I congratulate on a top season. He is obviously doing his football business for next season early, looking at his breakfast companion — the rest of us are just there for the full English!”

Tottenham have progressed massively under manager Mauricio Pochettino over the past three or so years, and one should not be surprised if they end up winning the Premier League title this season.

As for West Ham, the London club may not end up in the top 10. In fact, there is still the possibility that they could get relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.
