West Ham United and Liverpool will face each other in the Premier League this weekend.
West Ham United vice-chairman Karren Brady has spoken highly of Manuel Lanzini in her football diary in The Sun.
Lanzini has been playing well for West Ham in recent weeks. The 24-year-old attacking midfielder has scored eight goals and provided two assists in 29 Premier League starts for the Hammers so far this season.
Brady has spoken highly of the Argentine attacker and has compared him with Liverpool attacking midfielder Philippe Coutinho.
Coutinho, who has earned 25 caps for Brazil and can also operate as a winger, has scored 10 goals and provided six assists in 26 league starts for the Reds so far this season.
West Ham will face Liverpool at the London Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
“Manuel Lanzini is no doubt delighted to see that Lionel Messi has West Ham’s little wizard’s shirt among his collection on a wall at his home,” Brady wrote in her football diary in The Sun.
“It is recognition of the No 10’s beguiling skill just as much as his second place as the club’s Player of the Year.
“Lanzini, like the winner Michail Antonio, is to us as crucial an attacking link as Philippe Coutinho is to Liverpool.”
West Ham are 12th in the Premier League table at the moment with 42 points from 36 matches, while Liverpool are currently third in the standings with 70 points from 36 games.
