The 20-year-old, who can operate as a central defender or as a defensive midfielder, has made 27 appearances in the Premier League for the Hammers so far this season, scoring two goals in the process, according to WhoScored.
West Ham vice-chairman Brady has suggested that Rice is the type of footballer like his teammate and midfielder Mark Noble who could stay at the London Stadium for the rest of his career.
Brady wrote in The Sun: “You’ll know we have another of his kind in Mark Noble, also our captain and also uncapped — hiss, boo — who is about to play his 400th game for the club he joined 19 years ago.
“How much we would like to keep Declan Rice for that long. He’s definitely the type.”
West Ham United stay?
Rice has only just started his professional club football career, and West Ham are unlikely to sell the youngster anytime soon.
However, if big clubs in England and in mainland Europe make huge bids, then it could be tough for the Hammers to hold onto the 20-year-old.
