West Ham United vice-chairman Karren Brady suggests how David Gold and David Sullivan are different from owners of Tottenham Hotspur, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Liverpool.

Brady has also compared Gold and Sullivan’s stance of attending West Ham’s games to owners of other clubs, such as Wolverhampton Wanderers, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Newcastle United.
“At the opposite end of the scale, if I walked past one of the Glazers in the street I wouldn’t recognise him,” Brady wrote in The Sun. “The same goes for the double act who own Liverpool, the Chinese who bought Wolves, the Russian of Bournemouth, the Americans of Cardiff and Arsenal.”
Brady added: “Billionaire Joe Louis takes an academic view of Spurs’ actual playing performances — although the stewardship by junior partner Daniel Levy is positively microscopic — while Mike Ashley, soon probably to depart Newcastle, has given up trying to understand what his supporters want.
“Which brings me to my own joint-chairmen at West Ham, David Sullivan and David Gold. They are old school. David Sullivan had a pacemaker fitted and was at the club two days later. He’s a supporter first and a chairman second.”

Premier League success
While Brady does make a very good point about Gold and Sullivan attending West Ham’s games, it must be considered that it is not possible for all club owners to go to their respective team’s home matches.
After all, owner of a club is not just the owner of that particular club; he or she probably has other businesses across the world and may not be based in England.
While fans will certainly love it if the owners of their clubs are regularly seen at matches, they do understand if they are unable to do so.
What fans want above everything else from their owners is to invest in the squad and give their manager the best available players.
Owners of Liverpool and Wolves seem to be doing exactly that.
