The West Ham United vice-chairman suggests that Alexis Sanchez could leave Arsenal in the summer transfer window.

West Ham United vice-chairman Karren Brady has suggested in her football diary in The Sun that Alexis Sanchez will leave Arsenal in the summer transfer window.

Sanchez is one of the best players in the Premier League and is arguably the most important figure in the current Arsenal team.

The Chile international forward has scored 19 goals and created 72 chances in 32 league matches for the Gunners so far this season.

During the 2015-16 campaign, the 28-year-old, who can also operate as a winger, has scored 13 goals and created 62 chances in 30 Premier League games for the North London outfit.

Sanchez has been linked with moves away from the Emirates Stadium in the summer transfer window, with The Independent crediting Chelsea, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain with interest in the Arsenal star.

West Ham vice-chairman Brady has given her take on the issue, suggesting that if Sanchez wants to leave, then he will get his way.

Given that Sanchez is a world-class player, Brady’s comments are not going to go well with the Arsenal fans, who will surely want the Chilean to carry on playing at the Emirates.

“Stick or twist? That’s the Arsenal dilemma over Alexis Sanchez,” Brady wrote in her football diary in The Sun. “The Chilean forward is demanding weekly gushers of money to stay.

“Manager Arsene Wenger says, if the worst came to the worst, he’d stick with Sanchez until his contract runs out next summer.

“But what of the likely £50million Arsenal will sacrifice by not selling fairly soon. That isn’t Kroenke mathematics. If the player is determined to go, then in my experience he will.”
