Oxford United manager Karl Robinson has suggested to BanburyCake that he wants to sign Jordan Graham from Wolverhampton Wanderers in the January transfer window.

The 23-year-old winger has been training with Oxford for a while after cutting short his loan spell at Ipswich Town from Premier League club Wolves.

Robinson has suggested that he wants to secure the services of the former Aston Villa prospect on loan from the Wanderers in January until the end of the season.

“We’d like him to be here by January 1 – that’s always been our objective,” Robinson told BanburyCake about signing Graham. “I know he wants to be here.”

The Oxford boss added: “He’s a diamond of a human being as well, I’ve been very impressed with him as a person and that’s something which means a lot to me. He’s a pleasure to be around.”

Good move

Graham has struggled to make a huge impact for Wolves since his move to the club on a permanent contract in 2015.

Given how Wolves are doing in the Premier League and their lofty ambitions, it is hard to see the 23-year-old winger break into Nuno’s first team anytime soon.

The former Villa prospect had a loan spell at Oxford in 2015, and it would make sense for the youngster to go back to the Kassam Stadium for another temporary spell.
