Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa is thought to be looking at bringing in a new goalkeeper at Elland Road.

Karl Darlow’s potential move to Leeds United may just have become more likely, after Bailey Peacock-Farrell’s mistake yesterday.

Leeds managed to win in the most dramatic circumstances against Blackburn Rovers on Boxing Day to keep their lead at the top of the Championship table.

But Marcelo Bielsa may be becoming more and more concerned about the goalkeeping situation at Leeds.

Peacock-Farrell made another error in the match, as he failed to keep out a late free kick from Charlie Mulgrew, which put Leeds on the back foot.

The Whites somehow scored twice in injury time to win the match, but Bielsa is surely looking at bringing in a goalkeeper in January now.

Bielsa has previously played down the potential for additions at Leeds next month, but the Yorkshire Evening Post has said that Newcastle United’s Darlow is on their radar.

And Peacock-Farrell’s blunder yesterday is likely to make Leeds want a new number one even more desperately.

Peacock-Farrell is currently Leeds’ only senior option in goal, after Jamal Blackman’s injury, and Darlow’s arrival would surely strengthen the Whites for the second half of the season.
