Newcastle United are said to be interested in signing Alphonse Areola from PSG.

Newcastle United goalkeeper Karl Darlow should be preparing for an exit from St. James’ Park, upon heading that Rafael Benitez’s side are still interested in PSG stopper Alphonse Areola.
France Football claim that Newcastle could look to bring Areola to St. James’ Park in January.
And if the PSG goalkeeper did arrive on Tyneside then he would surely jump straight ahead of Darlow in Benitez’s pecking order.

With Rob Elliott already monopolising the goalkeeping position at Newcastle, Darlow is struggling for game time as it stands, and his chances of playing are hardly likely to increase if another goalkeeper joins up.
Darlow has proven that he is capable of playing regularly at Championship level, through his performances last season.

And the 26-year-old would be wasted as a third choice goalkeeper for any side.
As a result, Darlow should start considering leaving Newcastle now, as he looks far more likely to receive regular action elsewhere.
