David Moyes’s West Ham United have been linked with Karim Benzema of Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.

It has also been reported that Sullivan is willing to pay Benzema the same salary he earns at Madrid, which is reported by The Express to be £125,000 a week.
However, according to Diario Gol, there is a problem. The France international striker reportedly wants to join a top club if he leaves Madrid, and West Ham are not a ‘top’ club.

Time to move on?
Benzema would be a blockbuster addition to the West Ham team and would be their record signing if indeed the Hammers pay £52.69m for him.
However, it is hard to see the former Lyon star move to the Hammers in the summer transfer window.

West Ham are struggling for survival in the Premier League at the moment, and the Frenchman may not be wiling to join a club who are unlikely to be in the Champions League anytime soon.
Perhaps West Ham co-chairman Sullivan should look at more realistic targets.
