Leicester City fans aren’t looking forward to their home game against Tottenham on Thursday night because they don’t have any senior centre-backs available to them.

COVID and injuries are starting to affect the footballing calendar at the worst time because this is when the fixture schedule is at its busiest.

Tottenham recently had their last two games – Rennes and Brighton – postponed because of a COVID outbreak at the club.

Even now, they still have issues and will travel to the King Power Stadium tonight depleted and with a lack of fitness.

But even though the Foxes beat Newcastle last time out, it seems as though they are in a much worse situation.

During his pre-match press conference, Brendan Rodgers confirmed that Jonny Evans and Caglar Soyuncu are out of the Spurs match, which leaves him without any fit or recognised centre-backs.

The Leicester fans think someone like Harry Kane, who scored four goals at the King Power a number of seasons ago, will now find his form.

The Spurs hitman only has one Premier League to his name this term. But this is a great chance for him to pounce and get his engine seriously going.

Kane will, more than likely, be facing up against a fullback playing at CB, alongside a youngster from the academy.

If last season’s Golden Boot winner can’t manage to get on the scoresheet or cause havoc from that, then he will be seriously kicking and questioning himself.

Here is a selection of Leicester fans reacting to the team news coming out ahead of the Spurs game:
