Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has been speaking to reporters following his hat-trick against Stoke City this weekend, with his comments posted on Spurs’ official Twitter account.
The England international has been in blistering form in recent weeks and he wasted little time putting the Potters to the sword on Sunday afternoon, his three-goal haul and a Dele Alli strike putting the match to bed before half time.
Kane’s second strike was a joy to behold and the 24-year-old was quick to talk about it in the post-match interviews.
“The second goal was nice and probably one of my best,” the Tottenham star said. “People probably won’t believe it but if I hadn’t scored then I still would have passed it to Dele (Alli).”
Kane’s assist for the fourth goal proves just how important he is for this Tottenham side, scoring and creating on a regular basis and ensuring that any disappointment felt at the poor performances of summer signing Vincent Janssen is less concerning than it could have been.
Next up for Tottenham is a league game against Everton next weekend that will give Mauricio Pochettino’s side another chance to move clear of the chasing pack in the race for a top-four finish.
