Tottenham Hotspur’s Alex Pritchard has caught the eye in the Championship this season.
The form of Alex Pritchard whilst on loan at Brentford has created a lot of attention from Tottenham Hotspur fans, who believe he will be capable of making the step up to their first-team next season.
Spurs have already brought through a number of their academy players under the guidance of Mauricio Pochettino and it seems that Pritchard could be the next one to join up with the senior squad.
The attacking midfielder has been in fine form with Championship side Brentford, with his performances proving key to their promotion push.
The Bees have been one of England’s second tier’s surprise packages and they still harbour ambitions of claiming a play-off spot.
Their good form has owed much to Pritchard’s excellence. The Spurs youngster has been the creative fulcrum of their team, with his ability far superior to most players across the Championship.
A talented dribbler, who can also pick out a pass, Pritchard seems to have all the attributes required to make it as a top-level player.
When looking at the stats he has posted throughout the campaign so far it is easy to see why Spurs fans hold him in such high regard.
Pritchard compares favourably to every current member of the Tottenham squad, other than Christian Eriksen, in most areas.

Although the 21-year-old has been playing at a lower level, he has managed to create chances far more regularly than the likes of Andros Townsend, Nacer Chadli and Erik Lamela, whilst he is also happier to take players on than most his senior Spurs teammates.
Pritchard still has areas that he needs to work on – namely his passing accuracy and protecting the ball better – but the raw skills he has will make him a huge threat to any defence, regardless of what level he is playing at.
Pochettino will no doubt have been tracking his progress and if he has a strong pre-season it would be a major surprise not to see Pritchard strutting his stuff at White Hart Lane next term.
