Tottenham Hotspur defeated Arsenal 2-1 at White Hart Lane on Saturday, and some of Spurs’ players later expressed their feelings on social media.
Tottenham Hotspur came from behind to defeat Arsenal 2-1 in the North London derby on Saturday, with Harry Kane proving the goal-scoring hero once more.
The young forward is having a truly outstanding campaign but it hit new heights at White Hart Lane this weekend, as Mesut Ozil’s early strike was ultimately cancelled out by two second-half goals from the 21-year-old.
Kane has recently signed a new contract at Tottenham and that is no surprise when you consider how important he is for Mauricio Pochettino’s men.
After their latest victory – which took them above Arsenal in the Premier League table – a number of Tottenham players went on social media to express their delight.
Kane was one of them, writing, “Wow, what a game. Atmosphere was incredible. The whole team was different class.”
It says it all about Kane that he directed the attention away from his wonderful brace and instead focused on a Tottenham team who had all done their bit for the cause.
Erik Lamela also commented on what he called a “beautiful day” while Belgian international Nacer Chadli wrote, “Well, well well. What can I say?”
Midfielder Ryan Mason also expressed his feelings, praising the Tottenham fans, and you can be sure this game will remembered for a long time to come.
