Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane has received heavy criticism for recent performances.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with BT Sport, Spurs striker Harry Kane opened up about some advice he received when he was part of the club’s youth setup from Frank Lampard Snr.
The England international striker has been a shadow of his former self in recent months, having scored just one goal in his last 11 outings for club and country.

He is always willing to put the extra work in during training and has immense confidence in his own ability.
Speaking to BT Sport, Kane divulged a tip given to him by Frank Lampard Snr to help him reach the levels required to be a success in the Premier League. He also described how it was the same advice that Lampard gave his own son when he was a youngster at West Ham:
Frank Lampard Snr offered Harry Kane the same advice he gave his own son
“Frank Lampard (Snr) told me a little story about when Frank (Lampard Jnr) was younger. He told him he needed to work on his pace, and told him to go and buy some running spikes, and do extra training. And he gave me the same advice. He said looking at my game that was something I could definitely work on.”
That advice has certainly paid dividends, and while Kane is by no means the fastest player in the league, he is no slouch either.
It is also worth remembering that he is only 23-years-old, and has so many more years of experience to gain that, in turn, will help him become an even better player.
Kane will be looking to get in and amongst the goals again when Spurs face Sunderland on Sunday at White Hart Lane.
