Tottenham duo are ready to bounce back.

Tottenham’s fantastic 2018/19 season ended on a really low note for two players in particular.

Harry Kane returned from injury to play in the Champions League final, and played poorly, unable to influence the game at all. Lucas Moura was dropped at his expense.

So to see the pair get on the scoresheet in Tottenham’s first pre-season game will have thrilled manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Kane scored a spectacular winner, netting from near to the halfway line.

This was the confidence boost the Tottenham striker badly needed.

It washes away the ending to last season and allows Kane to focus on feeling important once again.

The same can be true of Lucas, who has come in ready to prove a point.

He was overlooked for Brazil’s Copa American squad, and could be in line for a big season.

Getting off to a positive pre-season start is so important for the pair, and they duly obliged.

With new signing Tanguy Ndombele providing the assist for Lucas’ goal, there is a lot for Spurs to feel positive about.
