Tottenham took their biggest win on a Wednesday by beating Bournemouth 5-0
Tottenham putting five past Bournemouth without reply ensured their 5-0 win in 2018 was their largest Premier League victory on a Wednesday. The result also put Pochettino’s side second in the standings. Howe’s squad, meanwhile, sat 12th in the table after 19 matches.
The north London and south coast sides have met on 11 occasions across all competitions to date. Tottenham have emerged triumphant in seven of their encounters while drawing two. As for Bournemouth, they won 3-1 in 1957 but then had to wait to 2019 to win again.
A sole strike from Nathan Ake secured the Cherries’ only Premier League win against Spurs three years ago. It marked quite the upset given Tottenham had thrashed Bournemouth 5-0 earlier in the 2018/19 campaign. It was the biggest scoreline across each of their fixtures.
