Leeds United duo Kalvin Phillips and Adam Forshaw could have quite some battle for one starting position.

Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips has been one of the club’s outstanding players so far this season, but he may need to raise his game to another level when teammate Adam Forshaw returns from injury.
Phillips, 22, has featured in all eight games under Marceo Bielsa this campaign and been an enforcer in front of the defence.
The academy graduate has developed into a key player and may be enjoying his most consistent run of form at Elland Road in the first team.
But he’s had very little direct competition for a spot in the starting XI this season and that is set to change when Forshaw is back in contention.
Forshaw, 26, is set to be available for selection after the international break and the central midfielder proved last season he can make a huge impact in the midfield when he plays.

Phillips certainly holds all the aces and looks a definite starter given the quality of his individual performances recently, where he’s shown great discipline and maturity.
He will know that one lapse could open the door for Forshaw, who was a mainstay in the side during the second half of last season and is an extremely effective Championship player.
The extra competition in the squad can only be a good thing in a bid for promotion and Forshaw’s return could spur Phillips on to be even better.
