Leeds United began pre-season in a positive fashion by securing a comfortable win against York City.

Kalvin Phillips and Tyler Roberts lauded Adam Forshaw on Instagram by calling him a ‘goal machine’ and ‘clinical’ after Leeds opened their pre-season account with a win.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side ran out comfortable 5-0 winners against Non-League side York City, with Jack Harrison (2], Pablo Hernandez, Kemar Roofe and Forshaw getting on the scoresheet.
After the game, Forshaw posted a simple message on his personal Instagram account, as he also joked about his goalscoring with Roberts.

The early part of pre-season is all about players getting back to fitness, getting some sharpness into their legs before they can really kick onto the next level.
A win, and a good performance to boot, only breeds confidence and that is what Leeds need ahead of the new Championship campaign.
As always, it has been a pretty hectic start to the summer, with popular defender Pontus Jansson being sold to fellow Championship side Brentford.

It remains to be seen who Leeds replace him with because they will have to get it right if they are to earn promotion next season.
With the first pre-season game under their belts, the hard work will only continue because Leeds will now face Guiseley on Thursday evening.
They will then take part in a quite mouthwatering encounter when they face off against bitter rivals Manchester United next Wednesday in Australia.
It will be a serious test for the Yorkshire club, who will benefit a huge amount because there’s no doubt that this game will be played at a high intensity, which will suit both parties.
