Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips has told The Telegraph about the obsession that head coach Marcelo Bielsa has with his walking.
Phillips has disclosed how meticulous Leeds head coach Bielsa is with his walking.
The England international told The Telegraph: “He has a friend over from Chile. He’s called ‘Cachu’. So he had Cachu follow behind him, with one of those things that clicks every time you walk one metre, counting how many metres it was from his house to the training ground. That’s one of the maddest things he’s done.
“Even now he walks around the training ground. We had a 1,000-metre running track installed a few years ago. He does five or 10 laps every day around it.”
Leeds United legend
Bielsa is a Leeds legend.
Ask any Leeds fan, and they will tell you as much.
The Argentine guided Leeds to promotion back to the Premier League.
Then last season, under Bielsa, the Whites finished in the top half of the Premier League table.

What is remarkable about Bielsa is that he has made Championship-level players better and has transformed them into the Premier League.
Take Kalvin Phillips for example.
The 25-year-old has publicly acknowledged Bielsa’s contribution in him becoming an England international.
That is what Bielsa does.
He transforms players and changes lives.
We love the Leeds head coach for his quirks and for how he is.
That is what makes Bielsa special and loveable.
And unique.
Yes, Leeds are not doing too well at the moment, but, in our view, Bielsa will turn things around at Elland Road.
