Leeds United youngster Ronaldo Vieira has broken into Thomas Christiansen’s side in recent weeks.

Vieira struggled to break into Thomas Christiansen’s first-team plans in the early part of the campaign, with the youngster constantly overlooked.
Vieira’s omission came as a major surprise, as he had enjoyed a brilliant breakthrough season last term.

But Phillips was keen to make sure that Vieira’s confidence did not drop, and guided him through the difficult period.
“Me and Ron have been mates since he came in at 17. I try and guide him through the experience I have and with him having a tough start to the season I just said ‘keep your head down, keeping working and your time will come’ and it did,” Phillips said.
Vieira is now back in favour at Leeds, with the youngster impressing in the heart of the Whites’ midfield.

Vieira has played alongside Phillips in recent weeks, with the young duo impressing.
Leeds have picked up again, after a worrying run of form, and are putting pressure on the play off places.
The Whites won their last match 2-1 against Norwich City, to move up to seventh place in the Championship table.
Leeds are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Hull City at Elland Road.
