Kalvin Phillips is very happy at Leeds United it seems.

Kalvin Phillips has told Leeds United’s official website that he wants to spend ‘a lot of time’ at the club.
The 23-year-old midfielder put pen to paper on a new five-year contract earlier this week amid speculation during the summer of a move to Aston Villa.
Leeds confirmed that they received £20 million offers for the Thorp Arch product.
But it looks like he is happy at Elland Road for the foreseeable future.
He told the club’s website: “It’s a big moment in my career, I want to spend a lot of time at this club and to sign a new five year deal is a very proud moment for myself and my family.
“I always talk about football, it is what I live for and my family have always supported me 100 per cent, if it wasn’t for my mum and my grandma, I don’t think I would be in this position now.”
It’s a revelation that will no doubt delight Leeds fans, many of whom must have feared that they would lose him in recent months.
But Phillips pledging his quality to United, contractually and verbally, is a massive boost.
Of course, it doesn’t mean that he’ll definitely be staying in the long term, but he’s spoken like a man who doesn’t want to be anywhere else right now and as long as that’s the case, it’s good news for the club and supporters.
His future could hinge on whether Marcelo Bielsa’s side win promotion this season, but four wins from six in the Championship illustrates that the Whites look every inch the pre-season favourites to reach the Premier League come May.
