Kalvin Phillips sends message after Leeds United win

Leeds United won again, beating Brentford at home.

Leeds United won their first home match of the season, beating Brentford 1-0.

A late strike from substitute Eddie Nketiah broke the deadlock after an assist from Helder Costa.

Leeds star Kalvin Phillips played an important role, managing more touches (107) than any player on the pitch.

He sent a message after the game, talking up how difficult the game was.

Phillips is a key part of Leeds’ side and is seen by many as a future captain.

The build up to the game was dominated by Pontus Jansson’s return to Leeds with Brentford.

The Swede put in a spirited effort but was unable to stop Leeds getting all three points.

His Brentford side are now six points behind Leeds already.
