Kalvin Phillips has replied to a tweet from an Arsenal fan alluding to a potential move to the Emirates for Ben White.
Premier League players have seemingly gotten into a bit of a habit of speaking about transfers on Twitter as of late, and after Marcus Rashford’s tweet about Jadon Sancho on Monday, Phillips has tweeted about White to Arsenal.
One Arsenal fan on social media had changed his profile picture to an image of White after the Gunners were linked last month, but after a few days without an update, he decided to change it back, stating that he was tired of waiting for Arsenal to sign him.
Phillips seemingly wasn’t a fan of this change, stating that you can never get tired of White.
As you can imagine, this tweet had a few Arsenal fans in hysterics online, especially after the whole Rashford and Sancho debacle earlier this week.
However, it may just be a case of Phillips winding fans up. After all, we know how close he and White are after their time at Leeds, and with the pair together on England duty, they’re bound to be getting up to a bit of mischief.
Let’s not forget, according to Patrick Bamford Phillips once borrowed Ben White’s car and parked it in a prison, so these two are known for playing pranks on one another, and this tweet could just be a joke between two friends, or even a deliberate attempt to get Arsenal fans talking.
