Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips has told BBC Radio Leeds that he and his teammates are confident of winning against Bristol City this week.

The West Yorkshire outfit will take on City away from home in the Championship on Tuesday evening.

Garry Monk’s side will head into the match at the Ashton Gate Stadium on the back of a 1-0 victory over Ipswich Town at Elland Road in the league.

Leeds are in good form at the moment and will fancy their chances of winning against City on Tuesday evening.

Midfielder Phillips, who is 20 years of age, has stated that he and his teammates are confident of winning against City.

“Very confident,” Phillips told BBC Radio Leeds when asked how confident he is of winning against City.

“Obviously as you could see, today we have been confident and the last few games we have played really well, so I don’t see why we can’t get a win.”

City are doing well at the moment and will probably head into the match against Leeds as favourites.

Lee Johnson’s side are 10th in the Championship table at the moment with 14 points from nine matches.

The Robins will head into the match against Leeds on the back of a 4-0 victory over Fulham away from home at Craven Cottage in London in the Championship.
