Perry Groves has said on talkSPORT that Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips is perfect for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.

The former Arsenal winger has also said that Phillips is now worth £100 million.

Groves said on talkSPORT: “Kalvin Phillips fits Liverpool, he fits Liverpool perfectly, the closing down, his athleticism, his passing range. £100 million.”

Should Liverpool take a look at Kalvin Phillips?

Phillips has had just one season in the Premier League, and he is already 25 now.

Some will say that the England international still needs to do more.

However, the way Phillips played for England at Euro 2020 showed that he does not need to prove anything to anyone.

The 25-year-old is a holding midfielder, but the Leeds star is also able to advance forward and help in attack.

According to PremierLeague.com, last season, the Leeds no.23 played 136 accurate long balls and played 48.41 passes per match on average.

Liverpool do need a dynamic midfielder who can play in a box-to-box role.

After all, Georginio Wijnaldum left for Paris Saint-Germain earlier this summer.

Phillips would not be a bad option to replace the Netherlands international in the team.

However, it is hard to see Leeds sell Phillips this summer.

Unless, of course, Liverpool pay £100 million.

If Phillips worth £100 million?

A player is worth what a club is willing to pay for him.
