Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips has dropped a hint that he could face Arsenal after the international break – and not quite how fans may have expected it.

Phillips had made a strong start to life in the Premier League, and impressed on the international stage with England too before injury struck.

The midfielder picked up a shoulder injury in the 1-0 defeat to Wolves last month, and he was ruled out for six weeks as a result.

Now though, fans have hope that he will be fit to face Arsenal following the international break, which will only just a month on from the injury.

Phillips was playing Call of Duty: Warzone with teammate Leif Davis on Twitch last night, and a clip captured on Reddit showed Phillips talking about his injury.

Davis asked Phillips how his shoulder was feeling, with the midfielder noting that it was still sore and has been for a while now.

Phillips added that he will get an injection at the end of the international break and ‘hopefully’ play against Arsenal with strapping on his shoulder.

That would be a huge boost for Leeds, as they have undoubtedly missed Phillips in heavy defeats to Leicester City and Crystal Palace, with his potential early return coming at the perfect time.
