Leeds United face Manchester United in a friendly next summer.

Kalvin Phillips has told LUTV that he and his Leeds United team-mates are excited about next summer’s pre-season trip to Australia, where old rivals Manchester United await.
The Elland Road club take on United in Perth on July 17, before then clashing with A-League side Western Sydney Wanderers three days later.
It has been over seven years since Leeds last faced the Red Devils in any competition, with the Premier League giants winning a League Cup game 3-0 in Yorkshire back in 2011.
Historically there has been a fierce rivalry between both English teams, and Phillips, speaking to LUTV, believes that will be evident again in Australia despite the ‘friendly’ billing.
“Yes, we are excited [for the pre-season tour to Australia next summer]. I woke up the other day and I heard about it, I didn’t know whether it was true or not, but I have never been in Australia and I bet it’s very nice so I’m looking forward to it.
“It [the game against Manchester United] will be a good test.
“They are one of the good teams in the Premier League and the rivalry between us has always been there and I’m pretty sure it will be there on the day we play them.”

Leeds fans will be hoping that their clash with United is the first of at least three encounters with them during the 2019-20 season.
If it is, it will mean that Marcelo Bielsa successfully led the Whites back into the Premier League, after a 15-year exile.
Bielsa’s side beat Reading 1-0 on Tuesday to move second in the Championship.
