Leeds United’s Jack Clarke is pushing for playing time.

Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips has told the Yorkshire Evening Post that he thinks youngster Jack Clarke is a ‘massive talent’ who gets fans excited.
The Whites were in action at Blackburn Rovers on Saturday afternoon, and fell to a 2-1 defeat as Darragh Lenihan’s goal won the game at Ewood Park.
It’s just a second league defeat for Leeds under Marcelo Bielsa, and many will be expecting a big response on Wednesday night when Leeds host Ipswich Town at Elland Road.
Bielsa will have decisions to make on his side, and one of them centres around youngster Clarke, who came on as a substitute against Blackburn.
The 17-year-old came off the bench for the second game in a row, and played 15 minutes against Blackburn, providing a real spark in the final third for Leeds.
A product of the Leeds youth setup, Clarke made his debut against Brentford before the international break and has now convinced many fans that he needs to be given a first start against Ipswich.

The attacker, who can play out wide or up front, is really giving Bielsa a decision to make, and he has now been backed by another former Leeds youth team star.
Midfielder Kalvin Phillips has told the Yorkshire Evening Post that he thinks Clarke is a ‘massive talent’, and backed him to get better and better if he keeps working as he has done since joining the first team for training earlier this season.
“He’s a massive talent,” said Phillips. “He’s been training with us since the start of the season and we’ve always known that he’s the type of player who can take people on and get the people excited. He did that (at Blackburn) and if he carries on working like he has done then he’ll get better and better,” he added.
