Marcus Antonsson joined Leeds United from Kalmar FF in 2016.

Antonsson has been on the books of Leeds since the summer of 2016 when he joined from Kalmar for a transfer fee reported by The Yorkshire Evening Post to be worth £2 million.
The 27-year-old striker has failed to make a major impact at Elland Road and spent the 2017-18 campaign on loan at Blackburn Rovers.

Andersson-Borstam told Kalmar’s official website when asked about the prospect of Antonsson returning to the club this summer: “Marcus knows that he is always welcome back at Kalmar. He greeted us on Sunday when we played Hammarby, and we have a good contact.
“On the other hand, we know that he is a Leeds player and that is what we are talking about right now. But, of course, Marcus is always of interest to Kalmar FF.”

Move back to Sweden?
Antonsson had injury issues during his loan spell at Blackburn this past season, but the 27-year-old still managed to score seven goals in 22 League One starts for Rovers.
With Blackburn having won automatic promotion to the Championship for the 2018-19 campaign, perhaps the Swede should try to move to Rovers on a permanent deal in the summer transfer window.
However, if Kalmar want him back and are seriously interested, then the Swedish striker should explore that option as well.
