Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly keen on Manchester United’s Victor Lindelof, but they should be looking to sign Axel Tuanzebe instead.

According to a report from the Mirror, Wolverhampton Wanderers are looking to bolster their defensive personnel ahead of a return to the Premier League next term and Manchester United’s Victor Lindelof is high on the wish list for a season-long loan deal.

However, manager Nuno Espirito Santo should consider the possibility of signing another promising centre-half from Old Trafford in the form of English talent Axel Tuanzebe.

The highly-rated youngster spent this season out on loan with Steve Bruce’s Aston Villa, but made as few as five Championship appearances under the former Red Devil’s tutelage.

As a result, it appears – according to reports from Old Trafford (via The Sun) – that Jose Mourinho intends to loan Tuanzebe out again next season to gain further experience, and Wolves could be the perfect destination for him.

Tuanzebe, 20, is very highly rated around Manchester, having showed glimpses of real quality both in possession and in terms of defensive know-how – not to mention his blistering pace for a central defender.

The pursuit of Lindelof seems somewhat far-fetched at this stage and Wolves could potentially end up uncovering a hidden gem if they turn their attention to his teammate.
