West Ham have confirmed the signing of Fulham defender Ryan Fredericks on a free transfer.

West Ham United have announced the signing of Fulham right-back Ryan Fredericks, via the official club website, with the 25-year-old arriving at the London Stadium as Manuel Pellegrini’s first signing.
The London-born defender has signed a four-year deal in east London, tying him to the club until 2022 – despite Fulham earning promotion to the Premier League last term.
Fredericks certainly fits the Pellegrini mould, with the Chilean asserting that West Ham must get back to playing attacking and progressive football, as his speed and end product in the final third are huge parts of his game – bagging an impressive seven assists from right-back last season.

Fans are understandably thrilled with the new appointment.
Here’s the reaction:
Fans will now hope that Pellegrini will secure some of the more high-profile targets being touted around the West Ham rumour-mill, with deals for the likes of Paris Saint-Germain star Javier Pastore (Sky Sports) and three-time Premier League winner Yaya Toure (the Sun) still unresolved.
Further additions are certain to follow shortly, with Pellegrini targeting “four or five” players, while being backed with “record funds” by the board this summer (BBC Sport).
