Football fans have zeroed in on a Twitter post rounding up Steven Gerrard’s early business at Rangers. The verdict is pretty unanimous.

Steven Gerrard has been touted as the bold new manager, brought in to galvanise a diminishing squad and to begin a new dynasty at Rangers. One where bitter rivals Celtic are not lifting the title every 12 months ideally.
And the Liverpool legend has not rested on his laurels since his appointment, bringing in three additions in a single week: Burnley striker Scott Arfield, Hull City ‘keeper Allan McGregor and Brighton and Hove Albion winger Jamie Murphy, showing his level of enthusiasm for the project ahead.
However, despite Gerrard’s eagerness being lauded by football experts – notably with former treble winning skipper Barry Ferguson claiming “it could be a great move,” and that he will “strengthen the team,” in quotes from the Stornoway Gazette – the general consensus from the Twitter populate is a negative one.
Here is the Twitter reaction to Gerrard’s business at Rangers for the week:
Perhaps Gerrard will be cut a bit of slack if the reported loan move for Liverpool starlet Dominic Solanke comes off over the coming days, according to a report from the Daily Record.
One thing is nigh-on certain though; this week’s business at Ibrox is just the beginning for Gerrard, as he looks to completely remodel the Gers squad over the summer.
