Mauricio Pochettino should move for David Neres, as he looks to bolster Tottenham Hotspur’s attacking options this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur have made no secret of their desire to bolster their attacking options this summer, with reported pursuits for Anthony Martial (Metro), Christian Pulisic (the Express) and Ivan Perisic (Calcio Mercato) circling over the last few weeks, but so far all have been fruitless.
Perhaps Mauricio Pochettino should revisit his previous interest in Ajax’s Brazilian prodigy David Neres (Goal), as the Spurs manager’s record with nurturing talent from the Eredivisie giants is nothing short of brilliant – most notably with Christian Eriksen and Davinson Sanchez.

And the manager would certainly have a lot to work with. The 21-year-old bagged an impressive 14 goals and 11 assists in the league last term, while dazzling with a highlights reel of mazy runs and flashy tricks, and he is unquestionably one of the finest attacking talents in Europe.
Unfortunately for Tottenham though, this deal would be far from simple to complete, as Ajax are in talks regarding the sale of several key players and are unlikely to facilitate departures without serious negotiations, with two first-team starters also being linked with Spurs – in Matthjis de Ligt (Evening Standard) and Justin Kluivert (the Sun).

It is now getting to the stage where Tottenham must start making progress on one of these reported moves for a forward, as fans are becoming increasingly frustrated with exciting rumours arising, then falling through without gathering any serious traction.
