Manchester United have reportedly lined up Celtic star Kieran Tierney as their plan B, in case they fail in attempts to sign Alex Sandro.

Manchester United are expected to undergo huge changes this summer in terms of personnel, after the club finished 19-points behind bitter rivals Manchester City in their bid for the Premier League crown.
Despite finishing in their highest position since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson, the season finished trophy-less, which is never a good thing for United.

As a result, massive investment is expected in the summer, with Jose Mourinho planning to revamp the Red Devils’ defence – shipping out the likes of Matteo Darmian, Luke Shaw and Daley Blind – to make way for quality additions. The priority being Juventus’s Brazilian left-back Alex Sandro, according to the Express.
However, Juventus are notoriously hard to negotiate with, and United have allegedly lined up Celtic fan favourite Kieran Tierney in case an agreement cannot be reached, as reported by Daily Star.

That is not to say Mourinho will land the Scot if they come calling though. Tierney professed his love for the Hoops only a week ago, claiming he intends to see out his contract (with five years remaining) at Celtic Park, in quotes via Sky Sports.
When a club of United’s stature actually come calling things can quickly change though. At 20, an opportunity like that would be extremely hard to refuse for the Celtic star.
