Manchester City’s esteemed manager Pep Guardiola says title rivals Tottenham were his favourite team to watch in England this year.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has described Tottenham Hotspur as his “favourite” team to watch in the Premier League this season, while speaking on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football (14/05/2018).
Gaurdiola was brought in alongside Gary Neville and David Jones to break down the domestic season, and discuss a range of topics involving the Spaniard’s Premier League champions.
There is no disputing that, over the course of the 38-game-season, City have played the most attractive brand of football, trumping their nearest challengers (Manchester United) by a staggering 19 points, while slaying Liverpool’s impressive goal difference at 79 to 46.
However, having admitted to being a huge football fan, the former Bayern Munich coach has revealed that he watches a lot of football, and admires a number of rival teams and their approaches to winning games in the Premier League, citing Tottenham as his favourite this term.
“I enjoy watching football and different teams and the players they have,” said Guardiola.
When questioned whether he had any preference of who he likes to watch, the City boss instantly replied “Tottenham.”

“Since the beginning I enjoy playing Tottenham. I like a lot how they play.”
This was not the first time the 47-year-old lavished praise on the north London club this campaign either. Previously calling Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs a fantastic team in the build up to their domestic clash at Wembley, as quoted by the Manchester Evening News.
